Undergraduate Programs

Undergraduate programs in the Division of Equity & Inclusion help students build community, access resources, and succeed at UC Berkeley.

Through research opportunities, mentorship, accessibility services, and community-centered programs, these initiatives support students throughout their academic journey. Many programs are designed to expand access and opportunity and help address barriers faced by historically underserved and underrepresented communities in higher education.

Centers for Educational Equity and Excellence

The Centers for Educational Equity and Excellence (CE3) provide specialized support, resources, and advocacy to help students navigate the university and achieve academic success at UC Berkeley. CE3 works to expand access and opportunity by addressing barriers faced by many students in higher education and fostering an environment where all students can thrive. CE3 reflects Berkeley’s commitment to scholarship, public service, and the future of California.

Disabled Students' Program

The Disabled Students’ Program (DSP) supports students with disabilities in achieving academic success at the UC Berkeley. Staff include disability specialists, professional development counselors, and accessibility experts who work with students throughout their educational experience. DSP serves currently enrolled students with documented disabilities who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees.

Centers for Educational Justice & Community Engagement

The Centers for Educational Justice & Community Engagement (EJCE) are a collaborative network of offices and community spaces that support student engagement, leadership development, and dialogue across the campus community. Partner centers provide programming, resources, and opportunities that promote academic success, community connection, and civic engagement.

Cal NERDS

The Cal NERDS Program is comprised of a suite of initiatives that provide faculty-mentored research opportunities, specialized technology training, graduate school preparation, career coaching, community building, and professional development for STEM undergraduate and graduate students. The program supports students pursuing academic and professional pathways in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

SEED Scholars Program

The STEM Excellence through Equity & Diversity (SEED) Scholars Program prepares undergraduate students to become scholars, leaders, and innovators in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Through mentorship, research opportunities, and a supportive learning community, SEED helps students pursue advanced study and careers in STEM fields.

Berkeley Underground Scholars

Berkeley Underground Scholars (BUS) creates a pathway for incarcerated, formerly incarcerated, and system-impacted individuals into higher education. We are building a prison-to-school pipeline through recruitment, retention, and advocacy.
